The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE), has verified Active Decision Support, Inc. as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

The VA has special authority for SDVOSB Set-Aside and Sole Source Contracts.  Public Law (P.L.) 109-461 entitled “Veterans Benefits, Health Care, and Information Technology Act of 2006” provides VA with unique authority for contracting with SDVOSB.  A new procurement hierarchy within VA for open market procurements was created which places the highest priority with SDVOB.

Now that ADS has documented proof of eligibility the VA can be confident that any set-aside awarded is going to a legitimate firm owned and controlled by a Service-Disabled Veteran.  As an approved firm, ADS is eligible to subcontract with VA’s large prime contractors in acquisitions with additional evaluation credit.  ADS is also eligible to participate in VA’s Veteran-Owned Small Business Mentor-Protégé Program.

The VA is one of the largest procurement organizations in the Federal Government; annually spending over $3 Billion with eligible Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
